THE VPATCH CLOSED LOOP SYSTEM
The Vpatch Cardio System comprises:
-
The Vpatch is a 3 lead electrode array that adheres to the body and provides 3 channels of ECG data;
-
The Vpod RF transceiver, microprocessor and memory that analyses each heart beat and records beats of interest in real-time;
-
The Vcell a GPRS cellular device connecting the patient’s encrypted data to the secure web based platform applications;
-
The Vcentral based reporting software that decrypts data for the treating physician or monitoring service.
THE VPOD
The Vpod is a small, non-obtrusive, reusable R-F transceiver that 'snaps' onto the Vpatch. On-board micro-processor and memory monitors, analyses and stores data collected by the Vpatch and then forwards the information to the web platform via the hand held device (the “Vcell”).
THE VCELL
A multi-patented, extended (7 days) but single use biosensor array. It attaches to the skin with sophisticated biodegradable waterproof skin adhesives. The patented sensors provide clear and stable ECG signals of diagnostic quality to which the Vpod is attached.
The Vcell is an 'in pocket' device which uses a proprietary receiver and cellular phone engine to connect to the internet and transmit the event data to Vpatch Central patient managment system.
VCENTRAL
The Vcentral software facilitates the enrolment of physicians and patients into the system. Doctors, after enrolments have an ID and password set up to access only their patients. Patient data, alarms and alerts are posted to the Doctor's own Patient Folio. Information and notifications can also be sent to a PDA laptop or other desktop applications. Information can also be sent by email.
